Services We Offer

Radon Inspection

radon test

Outdoors, radon will naturally dissipate harmlessly into the atmosphere as it rises through the crust. But in homes, it can become trapped, which is dangerous for the health of you and your family. Radon is colorless and odorless, and it is extremely carcinogenic. According to the EPA, radon is one of the leading contributors to the development of lung cancer, behind only smoking. For this reason, regular radon testing is key whether you’re a homeowner, or you’re interested in purchasing a home.

Water Testing

A water quality test is performed by an inspector who looks for contaminants in the water supply. While public water systems must test and treat their water before distributing it, these tests only cover water that hasn’t left the treatment plant. Before your water enters your home’s supply line, it travels through miles of pipes. Some of these pipes might be in poor condition or they could contain lead. The inspector checks for pH levels, fluoride levels (which may be too high), mineral contaminants (including iron, arsenic, and lead), and heavy metals (such as copper and lead).

Sewer Scope

A sewer scope is an inspection of the lateral sewer lines from the house at or close to the foundation to the city sewer, HOA tap, and/or the septic tank. Sewer scoping can help homeowners and homebuyers identify potential problems with their sewer systems. A sewer scope operator uses a camera to view the insides of the sewer lines to determine if there are any cracks, bellying, damages, clogs, or debris. Save yourself thousands of dollars by getting a sewer scope before buying a house!

Septic Inspection

septic inspection

A septic system consists of three parts: a holding tank, a drain field, and leach lines. You might think that having a septic inspection once a year is sufficient. But remember, a lot of things happen inside a septic tank without our knowledge. If sewage enters the soil around a house, it could cause serious health problems. Sewage contains harmful bacteria and chemicals like ammonia, methane gas, and hydrogen sulfide. These substances can damage plants, animals, people, and buildings. They can also pollute groundwater and surface water.

If you’re planning to sell your home within the next few years, you’ll want to make sure your septic system is still operating properly.
